Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara is a Romanian-German actress on television and film famous for her performance in movies such as Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. Alexandra was the sole daughter of Romanian actor Valentin Platareu. At the age of sixteen, she had landed several television roles, which included the leading role in the film Downfall Youth without Youth Control. In the Oscar-nominated film Downfall, her role as Secretary Traudljunge, Adolf Hitler's secretary was also highly praised. Other Oscar nominated movies featuring the diva include The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex. Alexandra is well known for her participation in a variety of noteworthy projects both domestically and internationally. Some of these include the British biographical film Control, the Greek movie The Dust of Time, and French historical miniseries Napoleon. In addition, she was a member of the jury of the Cannes Film Festival and the Transylvania International Film Festival.
