Alexandra Maria Lara has been a Romanian/German television and film actress for over a decade. Alexandra is known for the roles she played as a character in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Being the sole daughter of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra began her professional career in showbiz as a child. She was a lead actress in dramas on television as young at the age of 16. She was praised for her portrayal on Der Tunnel. This paved for her to play other memorable parts, such as Adolf Hitler's Secretariat Traudl Junge. The Reader as well as Der Baader Meinhof Komplex were both nominated for Oscars. Alexandra's professional career has included be involved in a variety of significant national and international productions. These projects comprise British biographical film Control Greek Drama film The Dust of Time French Historical Miniseries Napoleon and many others. She also remained member of the jury of the Cannes Film Festival and the Transylvania International Film Festival.
